Anantapur, AP, May 5 (Reporter) Union Home Minister called upon people to support the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance in Andhra Pradesh to remove the corrupt YSRCP government.
Addressing an election meeting Dharmavaram on Sunday, flanked by Telugu Desam national president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Amit Shah launched a scathing attack against AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the first time, alleging that corruption is rampant in the state.
Jagan Reddy promised complete prohibition, if voted to power, but after coming to power he launched a new liquor policy, he lashed out. Amit Shah said: “In order to end the land mafia and construct the capital city Amaravti, the alliance must come to power in AP. The Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government has pushed AP to Rs 13.50 lakh crore debts, he lamented.
“Chandrababu Naidu, Narendra Modi and Pawan Kalyan joined hands in AP to remove the corrupt government. We aligned to check the land mafia, corruption, and construct the capital city to AP,” Amit Shah observed.
Referring to the Jagan Reddy government’s decision to introduce English medium education in government schools, Shah assured of safeguarding Telugu language. As long as the BJP is in power, the Telugu language will be protected, he promised.
“Due to the corrupt deeds of Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government, the Polavaram construction works are snail phasing. If the alliance is voted to power in AP and BJP led NDA at the Centre, the Polavaram project construction works will be completed in two years,” he announced.
“If Narendra Modi is voted to power for the third successive time, terrorism and naxalism will be eradicated completely,” he maintained. Taking a dig at the INDI Alliance, the Union Home Minister demanded the INDI bloc leaders to disclose who would be the Prime Minister, if it is voted to power, among Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Mamata Banerjee and MK Stalin.
Amit Shah has claimed that AP Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were invited to the Ayodya Rama Mandir consecration programme but they did not attend. Amit Shah wooed voters to elect Y Satyakumar to the Assembly from Dharmavaram constituency and other alliance candidates.
Addressing the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu said that the defeat of Jagan Reddy in the election is the victory of the people. He promised to make the capital city Amaravati as the number one city in the country...////...
