Hyderabad, July 31 (Reporter) The Telangana Legislative Assembly was adjourned until Thursday morning at 1000 hours. Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar adjourned the house after passing the Appropriation Bill 2024-25. Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka introduced the Appropriation Bill 2024-25 in the session, which began at 1000 hours on Wednesday. BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) started the debate on the Bill, leading to objections from ministers who pointed out the government's mistakes. This escalated into a heated exchange between ministers and KTR, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also giving strong counter-arguments. Deputy CM Bhatti and CM Revanth's remarks against former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy caused an uproar in the House, leading Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to adjourn the house temporarily. After the adjournment, BRS members insisted that Sabitha be given a chance to speak, but the Speaker refused, prompting protests from BRS members. The issue of party changes was also discussed, with both the Chief Minister and Deputy CM targeting Sabitha Indra Reddy. Bhatti criticized Sabitha for joining BRS after receiving numerous posts from the Congress party, while CM Revanth Reddy accused her of betraying the Congress. BRS MLAs protested at the speaker's podium, drawing criticism from Minister Seethakka and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, who condemned the behaviour of BRS members. Despite the protests, the Legislature approved the Appropriation Bill 2024-25. Earlier, KTR highlighted past concerns raised by Congress about Telangana's future, including fears of communal clashes, a Naxalite takeover, and doubts about the state's administrative capacity. He pointed out that, contrary to those fears, Telangana is now among the top four states in India. Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka responded, stating that promises are gradually being fulfilled and that people are satisfied, urging KTR to be patient. Legislative Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu acknowledged that BRS also made competitive assurances but emphasized that people believe in change through Congress.
