Telangana Assembly and Council hold pre-meeting to discuss arrangements for upcoming sessions

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (Reporter)Telangana State Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy on Sunday convened a pre-meeting with senior state government officials and police personnel to review the arrangements for the upcoming sessions of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, set to begin tomorrow. Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar emphasized the need to maintain the dignity and reputation of the sessions. He expressed gratitude to all the officials and staff for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of previous sessions. He urged the officials to provide necessary information and answers to questions raised by the members in a timely manner. He also stressed that advance submission of answer papers in Telugu, Urdu, and English would help members prepare effectively for discussions. He highlighted the importance of having senior departmental officials available throughout the session and ensuring that proper coordination is maintained. “Discussions should be carried out in a peaceful and cooperative atmosphere, both inside and outside the House. The police should ensure smooth conduct by maintaining order and addressing any concerns on the roads to ensure timely arrival of the honorable members,” said Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy also called for cooperation from all officials to ensure the success of the sessions. He raised concerns over protocol violations during district visits and urged the police to take preventive measures. He emphasized the responsibility of the police to prevent any illegal activities around the Legislative Council and ensure smooth coordination for both Houses. Legislative Affairs Minister Shri Duddilla Sridhar Babu assured full government support for the smooth functioning of the sessions. He also stated that any incidents of protocol violations would be promptly addressed through coordination with government officials. The meeting was attended by Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, Legislative Secretary Dr V Narasimha Charyulu, and a host of top officials, including State Chief Secretary Shanthi kumari, Special Chief Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao, Principal Secretary MA & UD Danakishore, GAD Secretary Raghanandan Rao, Home Department Special Chief Secretary Ravi Gupta, State DGP Dr. Jitender, ADG (Law & Order) Mahesh Bhagwat, DG Fire Nagi Reddy, and Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Rachakonda, and Cyberabad, CV Anand, Sudhir Babu, and Avinash Mahanti, among others, according to official statement ...////...
