adjourned the winter session of the house sine die on Saturday after seven days of extensive discussions and legislative proceedings.
During this period, the Assembly worked for a total of 37.44 hours, passed eight crucial bills, and addressed various pressing state issues.
The session was marked by spirited debates between the ruling and opposition parties, which occasionally escalated into heated exchanges. Tensions peaked on the day a case was registered against KTR, leading to disruptions caused by BRS MLAs.
The final day saw a fiery discussion on the tragic death of Revathi in a stampede during the release of Pushpa 2 and the subsequent arrest of actor Allu Arjun.
Among its legislative achievements, the Assembly approved eight key bills, including the Land Acquisition Bill 2024, Panchayati Raj Act Amendment Bill, Municipal Act Amendment Bill, Telangana Universities Act Amendment Bill, Young India Physical Education and Sports University Act Amendment Bill, Goods and Services Tax Amendment Bill, Telangana Payments of Salaries and Pensions and Removal of Disqualification Amendment Bill, and the GHMC Amendment Bill.
The session also featured impactful discussions on several critical topics, such as Telangana’s growing debt burden, strategies to enhance the state's tourism policy, and efforts to develop infrastructure in government schools. Other debates focused on improving the state-run Gurukulas and ensuring better facilities in educational institutions.
