Hyderabad, May 31 (Reporter) Telangana BJP leaders held a dharna at Indira Park here on Friday, demanding that the state government conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the phone tapping case.
Prominent BJP leaders, including BJP OBC Morcha National President and Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Laxman, MLAs, and others participated in the dharna.
Speaking at the dharna site, the BJP leaders demanded that the case be handed over to the CBI immediately. They alleged that no serious attempts were being made to apprehend the real culprits and claimed that the investigation has revealed that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is the key mastermind behind the phone tapping row.
The BJP leaders severely criticised the state government for not taking any significant action so far.
Dr. Laxman stated that many sensational details have emerged during the investigation, but the Congress government is acting as if the case is being ignored.
He questioned why no action is being taken despite these revelations, especially since Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had previously stated that he would send those to jail if they commit any wrongdoing.
Dr. Laxman also raised concern about the Kaleswaram Project Scam and the Public Service Commission question paper leak, indicating that phone tapping was done with the involvement of police officers and KCR.
He expressed anger that the state seemed to be run by a mafia, noting that even the phones of opposition parties and judges were tapped for political purposes. He questioned why Revanth Reddy, who is a victim of phone tapping, is remaining silent, asking whether he had succumbed to pressure from authorities.
The Rajya Sabha MP alleged that the phone tapping was conducted under the direction of KCR and former Minister Harish Rao. Despite these clear indications, he demanded to know why the Chief Minister was not taking action.
Dr. Laxman speculated that BRS would merge with Congress after the Lok Sabha election and reiterated that the case involving MLAs was a fabricated drama to protect Kavitha in the liquor case.
He insisted that immediate action should be taken against the masterminds and perpetrators of the phone tapping and reiterated the demand that the case should be handed over to the CBI...////...
