Hyderabad, Feb 10 (Reporter) The Telangana Cabinet, convened in the Assembly Committee Hall at 0900 hours on Saturday, approved the vote on the account budget for the fiscal year 2024–25.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti is set to present the Vikramarka Budget in the Legislative Assembly at noon, while Assembly Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu will introduce the budget in the Council, official sources confirmed.
Given that this marks the first budget of the Congress since assuming power, there is considerable anticipation. The state budget is projected to reach up to Rs 3 lakh crore.
The government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy aims to prioritize welfare and development in the budget, with special emphasis on the implementation of the six guarantees. Substantial funds will be allocated to the education, healthcare, and agriculture sectors as the government endeavors to present a realistic budget without favoring the affluent.
The ruling party asserts that the budget will benefit all sections, aligning with the promises made in the assembly elections and anticipating the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
