Hyderabad, Jan 5 (Reporter) The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, has decided to implement several welfare initiatives, including the enhanced Rythu Bharosa, issuance of new ration cards, and the Indiramma Athmiya Bharosa scheme, starting January 26, coinciding with Republic Day.
Addressing the media after the Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat here on Saturday evening, the Chief Minister announced that under the revised Rythu Bharosa scheme, financial assistance will be increased to Rs 12,000 per acre per annum for all cultivable lands, up from the previous Rs 10,000 per acre.
However, this assistance will not be extended to non-cultivable lands such as hills, roads, real estate ventures, or industrial areas. The Chief Minister urged farmers to declare such lands to the government to ensure accurate implementation.
In addition, the Cabinet has approved an annual financial support of Rs 12,000 for landless farmers under the Indiramma Athmeya Bharosa scheme, aimed at providing relief and assistance to the most vulnerable sections of the farming community.
