Hyderabad, July 31 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has criticised Siricilla MLA K T Rama Rao (KTR) for allegedly attempting to mislead the Legislative Assembly during the debate on the Appropriation Bill 2024-25 on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister accused KTR of using his allotted time to mislead the house.
"You had ten years of experience in governance. People also have had their experiences. Based on that, they gave their mandate to us. There are already 100 allegations against us, and we haven't even completed ten months in office," said Reddy.
Reddy questioned the handling of the Bathukamma saree contract, alleging it was awarded to KTR's benami and that the sarees were imported from Surat instead of being woven by Siricilla weavers, resulting in poor quality. He also accused the BRS government of rejecting the proposal for MMTS construction to the airport.
"I have never claimed that Hussain Sagar water would be turned into coconut water," the Chief Minister asserted while responding to questions.
He added that the government is open to constructive suggestions for the development of the state...////...
