Telangana: CM announces formation of Farmers & Education Commission

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced plans to establish the Farmers Commission and Education Commission in the state soon during an interaction with representatives from various social organizations and civil society at the Secretariat on Friday. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his interest in shaping the education system through the proposed Education Commission. He highlighted that the Farmers Commission would provide valuable advice and suggestions for reforms in the agricultural sector, focusing on the welfare of farmers and tenant farmers. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the government's commitment to public welfare programs since coming to power. He highlighted the establishment of venues such as Indira Park and Praja Bhavan to facilitate public expression of concerns. The Chief Minister stressed the government's dedication to implementing promised welfare schemes, evidenced by the receipt of numerous applications during public administration programs. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy provided insights into the state's financial situation, electricity availability, and the irrigation sector, citing the release of a white paper in the assembly for transparency. He pointed out the successful implementation of four guarantees for women and poor families, promising additional measures for farmers and the unemployed. During the meeting, an all-party gathering was announced to discuss the protection of tenant farmers, seeking suggestions and ideas for legislation to safeguard their interests. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the Rythu Bharosa program in providing investment assistance to farmers and suggested a broader discussion on its efficacy. Regarding education, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy outlined plans to enhance schools and colleges in the state. He disclosed the establishment of around 25 SC, ST, BC minority Gurukuls at various locations, consolidating them into a single integrated campus spanning acres. The pilot project for an integrated campus in Kodangal is set to eliminate caste and religious discrimination, with plans for further expansion to other constituencies. Highlighting the government's commitment to job creation, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy affirmed the removal of entanglements from the previous government and the release of Group 1 and Mega DSC notifications.
