Hyderabad Aug 25 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for Hare Krishna Heritage Tower here on Sunday.
Addressing the occasion, Reddy said the heritage tower will provide spiritual teachings in the concrete jungle.
The tower, which is being constructed at a height of 430 feet, is also a pride of Telangana. The CM said the construction of this tower will be completed in 36 or 40 months.
Nizam rulers developed Hyderabad as Lake City a hundred years ago, but some farmhouses have been built for luxuries in the vicinity of lakes and ponds, which quenched the thirst of crores of people, he said.
Waste water from farmhouses is being discharged into Gandipet and Himayat Sagar, which have been providing drinking water to the city. He said, being the elected public representatives, we should not neglect them. It is the reason the government started protecting the lakhs from encroachments through HYDRAA, said Reddy.
Inspired by Lord Krishna's teachings to Arjuna in the Kurukshetra battle, our government will fight against the encroachment of lakes. This is not a program for politics or political parties, said the CM.
The government has undertaken this program with the will to provide better lives to future generations. We will not succumb to the pressure and take stringent action against the encroachers, he said.
He requested the Hare Krishna Foundation provide food in Osmania, Gandhi, NIMS, and cancer hospitals. The government will provide necessary facilities for the great cause, he added...////...
