Telangana CM offers prayers at Tirumala temple

Tirumala, May 22 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the Tirumala temple, accompanied by his family members. At the temple entrance, he was received by Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam's Executive Officer, AV Dharma Reddy. After darshan, he was offered prasad by the temple authority and received blessings from the temple priests. Earlier, the Chief Minister offered the birth hair of his grandson. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister arrived at Renigunta International Airport on a special flight from Begumpet Airport. From there, they travelled by road to Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. Following an overnight stay at Tirumala, he offered prayers this morning during the VIP break. Speaking to the media later, the Chief Minister said that the people of Telangana, including farmers, are happy under Congress rule. He noted that the state has overcome water scarcity due to timely rains. He also expressed his desire for cordial relations with the government of Andhra Pradesh, which is to be formed soon. He stated that he prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of both Telugu states—Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
