Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that YSR is the inspiration behind the six guarantees of the Congress party.
He highlighted that YSR’s rule symbolizes welfare in the country and his legacy is strongly imprinted in the hearts of the poor.
Revanth Reddy stated that his (YSR) aim was to make Congress leader Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of the country.
He emphasized that the inspiration for Rahul's padayatra (foot march) was YSR's padayatra, which also played a crucial role in Congress coming to power in Telangana.
Reddy noted that Rahul is excelling as the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha and is one step away from becoming the Prime Minister, which he believes is a historical necessity.
The Chief Minister asserted that the true successors of YSR are those who work hard to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister. He added that those who go against Rahul Gandhi's leadership are not the descendants of YSR.
On the occasion, Reddy also inaugurated a photo exhibition of YSR.
