Nagarkurnool (Telangana), Jul 28 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unveiled a bronze statue of former Union minister Jaipal Reddy at Kotra Chourasta in this district on Sunday evening.
Speaking later at a public meeting held in Kalwakurthy, the Chief Minister remarked that if Jaipal Reddy had been announced as the CM candidate in 2014, Congress would have come to power in Telangana.
He emphasised that Jaipal Reddy earned respect not because of positions, but that positions earned respect because of him.
He recalled Jaipal Reddy's efforts in explaining to the Congress high command the importance of separate Telangana state.
The Chief Minister disclosed that the six guarantees given in the election are being implemented.
He mentioned that loans are being waived and reiterated that a loan of Rs 1.5 lakh rupees will be waived before July 31.
Additionally, a loan of Rs two lakh will be waived before August 12. CM Reddy stated that they will work together to win the upcoming local body elections.
He explained that he had promised during the election to develop Kalwakurthy and pledged to grant a 100-bed hospital in Kalwakurthy.
