Telangana CS asks officials to sustain Ease of Doing Business success

Hyderabad, May 3 (Reporter) Telangana chief secretary (CS) Santhi Kumari on Friday urged officials to maintain the state's top achiever status in Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) rankings by repeating previous successes. In a meeting held with senior officials, the CS reviewed progress of various reforms initiated under EoDB, as per an official statement. She emphasised completion of all EoDB-related compliances by the end of July, directing departments to issue all necessary GOs/ circulars/ notifications in a timely manner. Additionally, officials were instructed to prepare for legislative changes required for implementing EoDB reforms. A powerpoint presentation during the meeting highlighted reforms to be undertaken this year, totaling 287, including 39 new reforms and 60 modifications. The chief secretary urged officials to expedite development of online systems and update online dashboards and service information. Regular feedback from users should be obtained to enhance service delivery mechanisms.
