Hyderabad, Feb 10 (Reporter) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented a vote-on-account budget exceeding Rs 2.75 lakh crore on the third day of the State Assembly's Budget session here on Saturday.
During the budget presentation, Minister Bhatti Vikramarka outlined the estimates, with revenue expenditure projected at Rs 2,75,891 crore. Of the total proposed expenditure, revenue expenditure accounts for Rs 2,01,178 crore, while capital expenditure stands at Rs 29,669 crore.
The six-guarantees scheme and flagship initiatives received a major allocation of Rs 53,196 crore to implement them.
Major budget allocations include Panchayat Raj, Rural Development (Rs 40,080 crore), Agriculture (Rs 29,669 crore), Rythu Bharosa (Rs 15,000 crore), Backward Class Welfare (Rs 8,000 crore), Scheduled Caste Welfare (Rs 21,874 crore), Scheduled Tribes Welfare (Rs 13,013 crore), Minority Welfare (Rs 2,262 crore), Power Subsidy (Rs 16,625 crore), Power Subsidy (Gruhajyothi) (Rs 2,418 crore), Muris River Front Development (Rs 1000 crore), Municipal Administration (Rs 11, 692 crore).
Allocations for Irrigation (Rs 28,024 crore), Education (Rs 21,389 crore), Housing (Rs 7,740 crore), IT Development (Rs 774 crore), Industries (Rs 2,543 crore), Agriculture (Rs 19,746 crore), SC Residential Schools (Rs 1000 crore), ST Residential Schools (Rs 250 crore), BC Residential Schools own building (Rs 1,546 crore), and University infrastructure development (Rs 500).
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said that a plan of action will be formulated soon to waive crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh.
He also gave good news to the unemployed in the budget. The minister said that Rs. 40 crore has been allocated in the budget for TSPSC, which conducts government job examinations. In this context, he said, “We will fill the jobs according to the job calendar. Mega-DSC will be available soon. Soon, we will fill up 15,000 constable jobs. We are going to fill up 64 posts in Group 1. BRS Sarkar has not given Group-1 jobs in the last ten years,” he said.
The budget session, spanning six days, will conclude on February 13, as decided by the Legislature Business Advisory Committee (BAC) after the adjournment of the House at the end of the first day's proceedings...////...
