Kamareddy (Telangana), Feb 24 (Reporter) A major fire broke out at the Post Office Passport E-Seva Kendra (Passport E-Office) here in the wee hours on Saturday. Some of the computers and files in the office were gutted in the fire, according to police here. On receiving the information, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. As per the preliminary investigation, the fire was caused by a short circuit. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. Meanwhile, in a statement, the Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Hyderabad on Saturday said that operations at the Passport Seva Kendra in Kamareddy have been temporarily suspended due to operational reasons. Applicants who have booked appointments by February 26, 2024, will receive an SMS providing them with the option to reschedule their appointments, the statement added. To accommodate these changes, additional appointments are being made available at the Passport Seva Kendra in Nizamabad.
