Hyderabad, Dec 1 (Reporter) As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, the Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, hosted a special celebration in the iconic Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan to mark the Formation Day of Nagaland on Sunday.
Nagaland, the 16th state of the Indian Union, officially came into existence on December 1, 1963.
On this occasion, the Governor extended warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the people of Nagaland.
He paid tribute to the visionary leaders and citizens whose efforts were instrumental in the creation of the state.
In his address, the Governor highlighted the importance of commemorating state formation days as a way to foster mutual understanding and appreciation of India's diverse cultures and heritage.
The celebration showcased vibrant cultural performances, including traditional songs and dances by talented artists from Nagaland. The program also saw enthusiastic participation from Nagaland residents living in Hyderabad, along with officers and staff of Raj Bhavan.
