Hyderabad, Apr 9 (Reporter) Senior IPS officer Rajeev Ratan passed away on Tuesday while undergoing treatment for a heart attack at a corporate hospital. Rajeev Ratan, currently serving as the DG Vigilance of Telangana, was admitted to a private hospital due to a heart attack. Doctors stated that he succumbed to his condition this morning as his health deteriorated during treatment. A member of the 1991 IPS batch, Rajeev Ratan's name was prominently mentioned in the race for DGP when Mahender Reddy retired as DGP last year. He was later promoted as DG Vigilance. In his capacity as Vigilance DG, Rajeev Ratan investigated corruption allegations related to the Kaleswaram project. Based on his report, the government constituted a judicial commission.
