Hyderabad, July 18 (Reporter) The District Selection Committee (DSC) online exams for the recruitment of teachers commenced across Telangana on Thursday amid tight security.
The exams will run from Thursday through August 5. More than 2.9 lakh candidates registered for the DSC exams, with over 2.5 lakh expected to attend. This is the first DSC exam held in the state since 2017. The exams are being conducted in two sessions daily: one from 0900 to 1130 hours, and the other from 1400 to 1640 hours.
A total of 26,000 candidates will appear each day, with 13,000 candidates in each session. The School Education Department has set up 54 examination centres across all 14 districts. Authorities will close the gates of the exam centres 10 minutes before the start time.
Due to the biometric verification process, candidates are instructed to reach the examination centres one and a half hours in advance. This year marks the first time the DSC exams are being conducted online to fill more than 11,000 teachers' posts, official sources said.
Meanwhile, ten unemployed individuals have approached the High Court seeking the postponement of the DSC examination. In their petition, they claimed that the notification was issued without giving sufficient time for preparation...////...
