Hyderabad, April 25 (Reporter) Ten people were killed, and two others injured in two separate road accidents in the Warangal and Suryapet districts of Telangana during the last 24 hours.
According to police, four youths aged 17 were killed when their motorcycle, on which they were traveling, lost control and collided with a private travel bus at the Aker Stream bridge on the Warangal-Khammam National Highway near Wardhannapet in Warangal district on Wednesday night.
The students--Gahesh, M Siddu, Varun Tej, Ponnala Anil Kumar hailing from Wardhannapet and Yellanda were proceeding to Vardhannapet from Yellanda when the accident occurred.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police added.
In another accident, six people were on the spot and two others injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a stationary lorry on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway near Srirangapuram, Kodad, in Suryapet district in the early hours of Thursday.
According to police, the car's occupants were proceeding to Vijayawada from Hyderabad when the incident occurred.
The injured were admitted to the Kodad Government Hospital for treatment.
The traffic was stagnant for quite some time due to the accident.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, police added...////...
