Speaking at a review meeting for the Congress party's Konkan division held in preparation for the assembly election at Bhayander in Thane district, he noted that the threats made to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, by a ruling party MP, MLA and a central minister should be taken seriously. "Rahul Gandhi's reputation and credibility have significantly increased both in India and abroad. He is the only leader in the country fighting against Narendra Modi and the RSS, and he has become a major challenge for the BJP.
