Chennai, Aug 8 (Reporter) Three children, aged between 8 and 10, were drowned in a stream at Konerikuppam ner Tindivanam in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday evening. Police said the children were identified as Sanjay, Priyadarshini and Subashree. They were crossing the steam to pick novel fruit from a tree, when the tragedy occurred. Their bodies were fished out and sent to Government hospital. PMK President Dr Anbumani Ramadoss expressed shock and sadness over the death of three children. In a statement here today, he said "I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news that 3 children, Sanjay, Priyadarshini and Subashree, who had gone to pick novel fruit at Konerikuppam, drowned."
