Tenkasi (Tamil Nadu), Aug 28 (Reporter) Three women agricultural labourers were killed on the spot and 12 others injured, few of them grievously, after a load auto on which they were travelling overturned at Anaikulam village near Surandai on the Surandai-Vadiyur road in this Southern district on Wednesday. Police said the load auto was transporting agricultural labourers, hailing from Thiruchitrambalam village to Anaikulam village for farm work, when the accident occurred. The driver lost control while trying to turn the vehicle to another side of the road to avoid hitting a stray dog and the vehicle overturned due to its heavy load of labourers. The deceased were identified as Janaki (52), Pitchi (61) and Valliammal (60). The injured were admitted to government hospitals at Tenkasi and Alangulam.
