Three killed, 6 injured as Bolero jeep rams into tree in Maharashtra

Ahilyanagar (Maharashtra), Jan 22 (Reporter) Three people including, two women, were killed and six others injured when the Bolero jeep they were travelling in rammed into a tree on Shrirampur-Newasa State Highway in this district. Police said the accident occurred on Tuesday evening when the driver of the jeep lost control of the vehicle in an attempt to save a two-wheeler rider and hit him and later he rammed the vehicle into a tree. Two women and the two-wheeler rider died in the accident. As the condition of two of the injured is critical, they have been referred to Ahilyanagar for further treatment. A total of eight people were travelling in the Bolero jeep. After the accident the youths quickly rushed to the scene for help. The injured were taken out of the Bolero jeep and immediately admitted to the Sugar Workers Hospital in Shrirampur. The bike rider, who succumbed to his injuries at the hospital during treatment, was identified as Digambar Shinde and the two women Gopika Diliprao Jadhavrao and Devyani Diliprao Jadhavrao, also died while undergoing treatment.
