TMC complains to Bengal Guv about alleged nexus of BJP with four Central agencies

Kolkata, Apr 9 (Reporter) Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has written a letter to West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose complaining against the Bharatiya Janata Party for allegedly blatantly conspiring with the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Income Tax Department (IT) against the state ruling party. "Complaint against BJP's Jitendra Tiwari and NIA's Dhan Ram Singh (SP) for having backroom talks to illegally target the members of All India Trinamool Congress (AITC)," the six-page letter to the Raj Bhawan alleged. The TMC also accused the country's highest poll panel - ECI- of its alleged inaction to reconcile the controversial issue. "Inaction of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to reconcile issues, despite multiple complaints lodged by AITC requesting intervention to preserve the sanctity of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, 2024, " the letter maintained. Banerjee also pointed out that the AITC leaders were prevented by Delhi Police (under the Union Home Ministry) from exercising their right to protest, resulting in their " illegal detention at a police station," on Monday. "On humanitarian grounds, need for immediate disbursal of funds and/or new scheme/project to help rehabilitate people affected by a thunderstorm/tornado," in Jalpaiguri district, the letter added. On Monday, Banerjee called on the Governor to lodge a complaint regarding the detention of party leaders by Delhi Police for holding a dharna outside the EC office demanding the removal of CBI, NIA, ED and Income Tax Department chiefs...////...
