Ariyalur (Tamil Nadu), Aug 23 (Reporter) At least 20 students of a government higher secondary school in Thelur village in Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu were hospitalised due to suffocation caused by toxic smoke, after a computer exploded in the computer laboratory inside the school campus on Friday. Police suspect that the computer might have exploded due to overheating or electrical short-circuit. However, the exact reason for the explosion will be known only after a detailed probe. Following the explosion, black smoke billowed out of the computer laboratory and spread to the adjacent classroom. The affected students were rushed to the government medical college hospital here in ambulances for treatment. Their condition was stable now, the police said.
