Itanagar, June 21 (Reporter) The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has applauded the state government's proactive initiatives towards enhancing women’s safety in the state. The top women's body, in a statement on Friday, said that Chief Minister Pema Khandu recently expressed his commitment to enhancing women’s safety and promoting gender equality in Arunachal Pradesh. "This commitment brings positive hope to the women of the state." CM Khandu shared that Team Arunachal will amplify efforts to strengthen Pink Patrolling with PCR (Police Control Room) vehicles as part of ongoing measures to enhance women’s safety and gender equality. "Giving the best of governance to our communities is an article of faith for us,” it said. "The APWWS wholeheartedly applauds the state government for its proactive decision to introduce pink patrolling with an advanced PCR vehicle dedicated to enhancing women’s safety. This initiative marks a significant step forward in ensuring a secure environment for women across the state. The introduction of these advanced PCR vehicles, specifically designated for pink patrolling, addresses safety concerns and provides swift responses to any incidents," APWWS president Kani Nada Maling said. "We have high expectations that this will lead to tangible improvements in women’s safety and well-being," she said.
