TPCC condemns Kishan Reddy's remarks on Congress manifesto

Hyderabad, Apr 9 (Reporter) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Senior Vice President G Niranjan strongly condemned the statement made by Union Minister, and State BJP President G Kishan Reddy, labeling the Congress Manifesto as anti-Hindu and suggested that a "Jinnah Constitution" would come into effect if Congress comes to power. Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Niranjan criticized Reddy for his divisive remarks, stating, "It is inappropriate for a Union Minister to hold office and speak like a religious fanatic." Niranjan reminded Reddy of the Congress Party's pivotal role in framing the Constitution of India under the leadership of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and emphasized that Reddy's claims were misleading. "Kishan Reddy's comments raise suspicions about whether the BJP respects the constitution written by Baba Saheb Ambedkar or not," Niranjan questioned. Challenging the BJP to identify which part of the Congress manifesto is anti-Hindu and unconstitutional, Niranjan defended the manifesto's stance on India's multi-religious culture and the protection of human rights and religious freedoms enshrined in the Constitution's preamble. "Why is the BJP upset if the manifesto states that the Congress party is committed to protecting the rights given by the Constitution to religious and linguistic minorities?" Niranjan questioned further.
