Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (Telangana), Feb 4 (Reporter) In a heartbreaking incident, two 15-year-old 10th-grade girl students allegedly took their own lives by hanging from ceiling fans in their hostel room on Saturday night.
According to the police, the two girls, residents of Habsiguda in Hyderabad, were studying in the 10th grade at a girl's high school in Bhuvanagiri while residing in a Scheduled Caste (SC) hostel.
After attending regular classes, they returned to the hostel on Saturday evening but did not participate in their scheduled tuition classes. When their tuition teacher contacted them, they mentioned attending after dinner but failed to show up. Later that night, another hostel student discovered their lifeless bodies hanging from the ceiling fans.
The hostel authorities promptly transferred them to the district hospital using 108 vehicles, where medical professionals pronounced them dead upon arrival.
A suicide note discovered in their room indicated that they were unable to endure false accusations from everyone except Hostel Warden Sailaja Madam, despite not being at fault. The note cited this as the reason for their extreme step, and they expressed a desire for a shared resting place.
Authorities suspect that an altercation between the students might have played a role in the tragic incident.
