Tripura: BJP's youth wing reaches out to new voters

Agartala, Jan 25 (Reporter) As part of their nationwide programme, the BJP’s youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), held Navamatdata Sammelan on Thursday with the newly enrolled electorate across all 60 assembly constituencies of Tripura on National Voters Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the new voters in virtual mode. BJYM President Sushanta Deb said the programme aimed to inspire first-time voters to make informed choices for a brighter India. With the crucial Lok Sabha election approaching, the youth workers of the BJP are actively working among the youths across Tripura to register new voters on the Namo NavMatdata web portal. “To strengthen the party’s presence, especially among the youth, and deepen its connection with a vibrant democracy, BJP national president J. P. Nadda launched the digital portal for the registration of fresh voters on January 13. The party has been working diligently to sensitise new voters and facilitate their registration on the portal,” Deb stated. He said the Pradesh BJYM has hosted an exhibition at each of the NavMatdata Sammelans portraying the developmental work done by the Narendra Modi-led government since 2014. The youth wing of the party has been tasked with the job of ensuring that the PM’s message to the new voters reaches the maximum target population. Meanwhile, Tripura Chief Secretary J. K. Sinha distributed voter ID cards among the new voters on the occasion of the 14th National Voters Day celebration here at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan. While addressing the gathering, he urged people to propagate this year’s theme, ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure', for better participation in the democratic process...////...
