Agartala, Apr 17 (Reporter) To ensure the reach of administration at a grassroots level, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha held a review meeting with District Magistrates (DM) and Superintendents of Police (SP) of all eight districts on Thursday and directed them to resolve public issues at the quickest possible time.
He directed DMs and SPs to visit their respective areas regularly every month and take prompt action in case of any deficiencies. While reviewing in detail the overall development work of the state, law and order, issues related to public grievances and demands, he reiterated the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘development for all’.
He emphasized taking strict legal action against drug traffickers and those involved in such activities. They were also asked to identify drug-prone areas, prepare a list of individuals involved in illegal activities in the police station areas of each district, and take legal action accordingly.
“The issues related to health, drinking water, education, law and order, roads, anti-drug measures, and strong steps against illegal activities in various sectors were discussed elaborately,” officials said and added that CM stressed on the need for time bound action for drinking water supply, traffic control, and mosquito control in the urban areas...////...
