Agartala, Mar 11 (Reporter) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha along with Nagaland Governor L A Ganesan on Monday inaugurated the Sringeri Balaji temple of Sharada Peetham, Karnataka in a mega event at Pechardahar village of Fatikroy in North Tripura’s Unakoti district.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister said Sharada Peetham has not only constructed the temple but also built a school in the locality to provide education at an international standard. They have several other philanthropic plans to upgrade the school up to a higher secondary level, open institutions of higher studies, and hospitals.
“Unakoti is a place of Lord Shiva and the state government has been working for its development to facilitate the tourists. Several unique tourism infrastructures are being come up in and around Unakoti and the addition of Balaji temple has increased the importance of the place,” Dr Saha stated.
He pointed out that Mata Tripureswari temple, one of the 51 Shakti peeth, has been coming up with a new look with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from that, the state government has developed all other existing tourist sites, and discovered and developed many new spots of tourist attraction.
The CM offered thanks to his cabinet colleague and MLA of Fatikroy Sudhangsu Das, Minister for Fisheries and Animal Resource Development for completing the construction of such a marvelous temple with the help of the then-District Magistrate Abhishek Chandra and Chief Advisor of Sharada Peetham, Sringeri Padmashri Dr V R Gowrisankar, which was begun in November 2013.
The temple with the pattern of Sri Math Complex for Goddess Sharadamba, Goddess for knowledge in South Indian architecture, also includes the idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, with Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Venkateshwara (Tirupati), Lord Ganesh, and several other Hindu deities, it aims to transform Unakoti into an international pilgrimage centre...////...
