Agartala, Feb 5 (Reporter) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday reiterated the transparency of his government in recruitment and governance while distributing job offer to over 2700 candidates.
He said employment was provided purely on merit basis, irrespective of political affiliations, which is the unique proposition of BJP led government.
Besides, entire cabinet of Dr Saha, Union Home Minister Amit Shah joined the event virtually and underscored the commitment of Prime Minister to a transparent hiring process and applauded Tripura government.
Nine candidates received their appointment letters on stage during the event. A total of 2,437 Group D positions, along with 369 posts for Pharmacists and Lab Technicians, have been filled.
"Unlike in the past, when job seekers had to approach the courts for justice, we are ensuring an unbiased and systematic selection process based on competence alone," CM said.
Dr Saha also noted that in 2023, approximately 1,980 individuals secured jobs through JRBT in Group C, Agriculture Assistant, and other positions.
Between 2018 and 2024, a total of 16,411 individuals have been recruited in various government departments, with an additional 5,771 appointed on a contractual or outsourcing basis, he pointed out.
Chief Minister highlighted the establishment of three Model Career Centers in Agartala, Dharmanagar, and Kailashahar, as many as 96 job fairs were hosted, facilitating employment for over 2,135 youth in private sector roles.
The Skill Development Department has also launched several trainings like Mukhyamantri Dakhyata Unnayan Prakalpa in 2023-24, which has enabled over 22,000 youth to secure jobs outside the state," he said, adding that in 2023-24, Tripura’s unemployment rate stands at 1.7%, significantly lower than the national average of 3.2%...////...
