Amaravati, Apr 8 (Reporter) The trough/wind discontinuity from interior Odisha to north Tamil Nadu now runs from north coastal Andhra Pradesh to south Tamil Nadu across Rayalaseema at 0.9 km above mean sea level, the Meteorological Centre said on Monday. In a daily weather report here, it said that heatwave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours. Hot, humid, and uncomfortable weather is likely to prevail at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next five days, in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on April 9, 10, 11, and 12. A thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with a speed of 30–50 kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next five days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next seven days and in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on April 12, 13, and 14. Dry weather is likely to prevail in south-coast Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next four days. Rainfall occurred at one or two places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema and Yanam during the last 24 hours. Heatwave conditions prevailed at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the same period.
