Amaravati, May 15 (Reporter) The trough runs from the southeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Kerala to Marathwada and now runs from South Interior Karnataka to east Vidarbha at 0.9 km above mean sea level, Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that Southwest Monsoon is very likely to advance into South Andaman Sea, some parts of Southeast Bay of Bengal and Nicobar Islands around May 19.
Lower tropospheric Southerly / South-westerly winds prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
Thunderstorm with lightning and strong gusty winds (speed ranging from 40- 50 Kmph) is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
Rainfall occurred at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and dry weather prevailed over Yanam during the last 24 hours.
