Kolhapur, Aug 8 (Reporter) Two persons were killed on the spot when the Eicher tempo rammed into a stationary container at Kamthin in Ratnagiri district on Mumbai-Goa National Highway on Thursday. According to Chiplun police, the speeding Eicher tempo hit the stationary container which was parked on the road side. The Tempo driver and cleaner were killed on the spot. The accident was so severe that the tempo cabin was totally crushed and severely damaged. Police identified the deceased as Rutwik Shirodkar and Ramkrishna Shenoi (tempo driver), both from Sindhudurg district. After receiving the information, Nationalist Congress Party 's OBC division Chiplun tehsil president Sameer Kazi and other workers, rushed to the spot and helped the police team to take out the deceased from the tempo cabin.
