Kannur, July 4 (Reporter) One of the student's body was recovered on Wednesday from Poovam River, after two female students of SIGBA College at Kalliad near Irikkur were drowned in Poovam river at Padiyur on July 2, when they reached to classmate Jaseena's house at Padiyur near Iritty. According to police, the body of Shaharbana (28) , a final year student of psychology student from Edayanoor was fished out from 300 metres away from the accident spot at Poovam Kadavu adjoining to Pazhassi water resources near Padiyoor , around 0800 hrs on Wednesday by NDRF team. The search operation to recover the second student, Soorya (21) of Chakkarakkal, was going on, police said. The incident took place around 1600 hrs on July 2, when three students went to Poovam river for sightseeing, one of the students fell down to the river, while another one drowned while bid to rescue the friend.
