Pune, Jan 13 (Reporter) Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) will celebrate its 57th foundation day here on Monday. Maharashtra Cooperatives Minister Dilip Walse Patil will be present as the chief guest. The pioneer of the co-operative movement of the country, VAMNICOM celebrates its foundation day on 15th January every year in memory of Vaikunthbhai Mehta. Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management is a national level apex cooperative management institute under the Ministry of Cooperatives, Government of India. The institute is making significant contributions to the cooperative movement by carrying out research and consultancy projects in the areas of management training, management education, cooperatives and rural development. The institute is actively engaging with Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS), disseminating crucial information about the Ministry of Cooperation's initiatives on business diversification, Common Service Centre, grain storage, and their convergence with various schemes.
