Bhubaneswar, Dec 7 (Reporter) Vigilance department officials have arrested Rebati Raman Joshi, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Hirakud Wild Life Division, Sambalpur in a Disproportionate Assets Case. Vigilance sources here said on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets ( DA) to his known sources of income by Joshi, simultaneous house searches were conducted by 3DSPs, 10 Inspectors, and other supporting staff of Vigilance at 9 locations of Joshi in Sambalpur and Bargarh. Joshi was placed under arrest after he was found in possession of disproportionate assets comprising 3 buildings including 1 triple-storeyed building in Sambalpur town worth approximately Rs.1.80 crore, 4 flats including 1 flat in BBSR & 3 flats in Sambalpur town, 7 plots, Rs.14.71 lakhs in cash and 150 gms of gold, he could not explain satisfactorily. Joshi will be forwarded to the Court on Saturday. A case has been registered against Joshi. Investigation of the case is in progress...////...
