Patna/ Bhabhua, Sep 18 (Reporter) Describing conservation of the environment as everyone's responsibility, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that water and greenery protects the life.
After inaugurating, dedicating and laying the foundation stones for various projects in Kaimur district on Wednesday, Kumar said that water is important for life and should not be wasted and suggested everyone to avoid misusing it.
He said that Maa Mundeshwari wildlife Eco Park has been constructed near Pora Hills at an expenditure of Rs 10.4 crore. The Eco Park has various facilities for the visitors. The Open Theatre can accommodate 300 to 400 people at a time.
He said this Eco Park would boost tourism in the Kaimur area.
He also dedicated other facilities developed at Telhar Kund waterfall 30 km away from Bhabua.
Later while inspecting the Tiara pump Canal scheme located in the Nunaon block of Kaimur district Kumar directed the authorities to ensure its proper functioning. During inspection water resources principal secretary Santosh Kumar Mall apprised the Chief Minister about the canal in detail.
The Chief Minister also visited Anganwadi centre at the newly constructed upgraded middle school in Tiara and asked the teachers to maintain the quality of teaching and other activities.
During his visit the chief minister laid the foundation stone for construction of 11 police buildings at an expenditure of Rs 4.18 crore.
