Patna / Arwal Feb 13 (Reporter) Categorically clearing to continue with the BJP, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he had been working with the party since the beginning and mistakenly went with the RJD twice. During the 4th phase of his Pragati Yatra Kumar reached Arwal on Thursday where he specifically mentioned that he would continue his alliance with the BJP and would work with it for the development of Bihar and the country. He said that from November 24, 2005 he was continuously striving for the development of Bihar while working with the BJP. He said that it was late Atal Bihari Vajpayee who made him the Chief Minister of the state. Regretting his earlier "U" turns, Kumar said that he mistakenly went there (with RJD) but would now continue with the BJP. Reviewing various ongoing projects in the district, Kumar instructed the authorities concerned and the district Magistrate Thyagarajan S.M to ensure an action plan on the issues raised by various public representatives and others. Kumar said that the announcements made during his Pragati Yatra had been approved by the cabinet During his Yatra Kumar announced Construction of Kothi Weir on Morhar River in Imamganj block, the revival of Lawabar, Bara, and Sondaha embankments in Imamganj block, the revival of water bodies, the construction of flyovers, the widening of roads, the construction of ROB, construction of bridges on Badki and Manjhiyavon rivers and opening of degree college in Imamganj. Highlighting the achievements of his government, Kumar said that the overall scenario in Bihar was in shambles when he came to power. Gradually, Kumar said that he improved the situation in every sector including law and order, education, medical services, infrastructure, and others. The Chief Minister said that the central government was also assisting in the Development Mission. He said the state had only six Government Medical College hospitals which he increased to 12 and the capacity of the most prestigious Patna Medical College Hospital was being enhanced to 5400 beds. Similarly, the capacity of the other old five Medical College hospitals was being increased to 2500 beds and the IGIMS will have a capacity of 3000 beds. Kumar said that his government initiated seven resolves mission in 2015 and was carrying forward to providing facilities to every household in the farmlands. Speaking about the role of women in development of the society, Kumar said that his government initiated several steps for women empowerment for which it provided them 50 percent reservation in the Panchayati Raj Institutions and Civic bodies. 35 percent reservation has also been given to the women in government services. He said that the government to date has provided employment to 24 lakh people and announced to provide government jobs to 12 lakh youth. For financial upliftment of the poor families Rs 200000 was being provided to every such family which was identified during the recently held caste survey...////...
