Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 10 (Reporter) The low-pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal & the adjoining east Equatorial Indian Ocean has become more marked and lay as a well-marked low-pressure area over the southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal at 0830 hours on Tuesday. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to mid-tropospheric levels. The system is very likely to continue to move west-northwestwards towards the Sri Lanka-Tamil Nadu coasts during the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said. In a daily weather report here, it said that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on December 11 and 12. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in the same areas during the same period. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
