Will Marathwada voters support Modi's development in phase 3 LS election?

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 5 (Reporter) As Latur and Osmanabad (Dharashiv), the two parliamentary seats in Marathwada region of Maharashtra, go to polls in third phase of Lok Sabha elections due to be held on May seven, it remains to be seen whether electorate will vote for BJP-led Mahayuti candidates to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development agenda or the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to save the Constitution and democracy in the country. The atmosphere in these two constituencies is charged up due to election rallies of BJP, Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena leaders. With an aim to win more than 400 seats in Lok Sabha, BJP and its allies (Mahayuti) are keen on winning more than 45 parliamentary seats in Maharashtra and in this endeavour, both Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah are leaving no stone unturned for victory of their candidates. Modi has so far addressed 13 public meetings in Maharashtra. In the Latur (SC) LS constituency, BJP's sitting MP Sudhakar Shringare has locked horns with Congress' nominee Dr Shivaji Kalge. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shringare had won with a "record" number of votes in the history of Latur against Congress nominee Machindra Kamat. Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi addressed a meeting for party candidate Dr Kalge at Udgir in the Latur LS seat. The Latur LS constituency was under control of Congress in the past, but it is now with BJP for past decade. In past 17 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has had won 13 times, BJP three times and Peasants & Workers Party once in Latur. It has been reserved for scheduled castes from 2009 elections. While in Osmanabad, as BJP MLA Rana Jagjit Singh Patil's wife Archana, supported by NCP led by Ajit Pawar, is posing a tough challenge to Omraje Nimbalkar, sitting MP of Shiv Sena (UBT). Meanwhile, rival Sena faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has entrusted party leader and Osmanabad district guardian minister Tanaji Sawant to exerted his might in support of Mahayuti candiate Archana Patil. Since Osmanabad LS constituency was a stronghold of undivided Shiv Sena and supported its founder late Bal Thackeray, Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray is counting on the local people to give another chance to Nimbalkar...////...
