Chennai, May 10 (Reporter) In a shocking incident, a 58-year-old woman was found murdered with her throat slit at her residence in the upmarketThiruvanmiyur area in the city on Thursday night. In a swift action, Police arrested three people, including a juvenile in this connection on Friday. The woman Ponni was found murdered at the kitchen, a police release said. The murder came to light when her son-in-law Ayyappan returned home from work and found the gates broken and found her lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was declared dead. Acting on a complaint from Ayyappan, Thiruvanmiyur police registered a case of murder and launched an investigation. After pursuing various leads, the Special team headed by the Inspector conducted a thorough investigation and arrested Vignesh, (20), Dheena (21) and a 17-year-old juvenile. Police also seized a knife from them. Police quoting investigations said the juvenile had been drinking alcohol frequently by inviting his friends Vignesh and Dheena to the house when his parents were away. Also, he has been talking about inviting the girl he loves to his home. Ponni, who lives next door, noticed this and told the juvenile's behaviour to his parents. Enraged by this, the juvenile along with his friends Vignesh and Dheena went to Ponni's house and murdered her by slitting her neck with a knife and fled from the scene. While Vignesh and Dhenna were produced before the court and remanded in custody, the juvenile was produced before the Juvenile Court today and lodged in juvenile home...////...
