Kolhapur, Jun 11 (Reporter) The world leaders felt sorry when Prime Minister Narendra Modi got less than expected seats in the Lok Sabha elections, claimed Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that in the wake of BJP falling short of achieving their set target of bagging more than 400 parliamentary seats in recent Lok Sabha elections, the world leaders felt sorry on getting less than expected seats to Modi, whose leadership was promising in the world.
He said that as BJP got only 240 seats in Lok Sabha elections, they formed the government with help of other parties.
Patil claimed that BJP formed the government at the Centre despite few attempts to break NDA alliance and asserted that the government will not be in trouble in future.
He said that they have learned many things from this Lok Sabha elections.
He further said that Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray should do introspection as to why his party secured only nine seats despite addressing several meetings.
On other hand, his alliance partners NCP (SP) got eight seats out of 10 while the Congress bagged 13.
Replying to a poser on post of party president, Patil said that he will be delighted if the party high command gives party presidentship to Vinod Tawade, as J P Nadda, the current party president, got a berth in Union Cabinet, he added...////...
