Bengaluru, April 12 (Reporter) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Friday appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding the POCSO Act case against him.
Yediyurappa, a prominent BJP leader, has been accused of molesting a 17-year-old girl, based on a complaint filed by the victim's mother.
The incident allegedly took place on February 2, when the girl and her mother visited Yediyurappa's house. The case was initially registered by the Sadashivanagar Police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and later handed over to the CID for investigation.
Yediyurappa has vehemently denied the allegations against him. However, the CID has taken significant steps in their investigation, including summoning Yediyurappa for questioning and collecting his voice samples for forensic examination.
The voice samples are reportedly crucial evidence, especially since the complainant has provided a mobile recorded video of confronting Yediyurappa after the alleged incident...////...
