Hyderabad, July 16 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy emphasized the pivotal role of collectors, referring to them as the "eyes and ears of the government." Speaking at the Collectors Conference held at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister recalled the initial meeting with the Collectors on December 24, 2023. "In that meeting, we were instructed to receive applications through public administration and identify the real beneficiaries. As soon as the Election Code was over, we transparently conducted transfers of collectors," he stated. Addressing the collectors, he said, "You are the eyes and ears of the government. Some collectors have come here from different states. Only by participating in Telangana culture will you be able to provide proper services to the people. You should consider Telangana as your state and work. Your decisions should be humane to benefit people. You should work so that the common people always remember a Shankaran, a Sreedharan. Understand what people think at the field level. If you limit yourself to AC rooms, you will not be satisfied. Your every action should let people know that this is a people's government. In this public government, transparent public welfare governance should be provided. It is your responsibility to balance welfare and development and take it forward. Collectors have to visit the field." The Chief Minister highlighted the government's expenditure of Rs 85 thousand every month for every poor student, stressing the importance of the education system in the reconstruction of Telangana. He advised the collectors to take measures to prevent any damage to the education system and to monitor government schools and hospitals. He expressed that if teachers are transferred to some government schools, the students react like their own family members. Similarly, efforts should be made to garner such a response from the public if the collectors are transferred. He also instructed the resolution of public grievances through regular broadcasting and emphasized the responsibility of implementing the six guarantees transparently. "This is a people's government," CM Revanth Reddy reiterated during the meeting. The Chief Minister inquired about the resolution of Dharani's issues and ordered the pending applications to be resolved by August 15. He suggested examining the geo-tagging system to protect government lands from alienation and recommended additional options to address technical issues in Dharani...////...
