Mumbai, Sep 23 (Reporter) The youth power is set to play a major role in sustainable development, Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Bhupender Yadav said on Monday.
“It is time for the youth to champion change in sustainable development, and that can spearhead key steps toward a truly developed India,” he said while addressing a function - ‘Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat’ at the NMIMS University in city.
“The youth should initiate more tree plantations like the ones undertaken today at NMIMS, along with clean energy drives, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with the local communities,” the Minister said.
“The youth of India is dynamic and determined, and India’s path to becoming a Global Leader rests upon their shoulders. As we work towards environmental sustainability and climate resilience, Yuva Shakti must lead the charge in fostering a greener and more sustainable future,” he added.
The event commenced with a tree plantation ceremony by the Minister and the 10 women achievers under the banner of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’...////...
