Patna, Aug 3 (Reporter) Union Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan announced to hold “World Food India 2024”, a mega food event in September in New Delhi.
Addressing a Regional Industry meet on food processing in Patna in association with PHDCCI on Saturday, Paswan said that the World Food India 2024 is a flagship event of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and is being organized from September 19 to 22 in New Delhi.
Urging the people of Bihar and all the invitees to come forward and participate in the event , he said it would open new platforms in the food processing sector.
He said that the 3rd edition of World Food India will be a gathering of manufacturers, producers, investors, policymakers, and organizations from across the global food ecosystem.
Speaking about the importance of Food Processing sector, he said that working on the grass root level in this sector can help elevate economic status of India.
While mentioning the importance of Bihar as one of the largest farmers inhabiting state, he said the sector can play a pivotal role in making Bihar a strong and developed state.
Highlighting the agricultural produce in the region, Chirag said that employment can be generated in large scale by setting maximum units of the Food Processing sector in Bihar.
